I’ve been on the dole for a while and getting too much grief, how do I wipe the slate clean and start my time again?
If you want to wipe the slate clean, you have to be off payments for 13 weeks (a little over three months). This is called the ‘allowable break period’ in centrespeak. Getting Austudy to go to one of the art colleges or graphic design schools might be a way to get a “paid” break (Art Colleges also count for Mutual Obligation).
What happens if I go back on payments under this thirteen week period?
You usually can expect to go back to much of the same level of grief you were in before. One good thing is that you can ask to go to another Job Network Provider (if the last one was a shocker).

basically you have to be earning minimum wage - which is currently $14 or something like that.
There’s a certain amount of hours you need to satisfy to not have to look for work or go to job network stuff. If someone could let us know - i think it’s 40 - 70 hours a fortnight.
You may as well get work up to that amount and claim it - if you have 1000 working credits it will let you get some Centrelink payments and get Job Network off your back.
